It has been a while since I shared some dessert recipes, so I decided to change things up. The following recipes are quick and short, so I decided to condense them into a single blog post. You will learn to make cream cheese frosting and chocolate cake rolls.
Cream cheese frosting goes nicely on just about any cake. I felt it was time to finally share a couple recipes. It is less sweet, but still tickles your taste buds and has less sugar.
Here they are. Enjoy!

Glaze is a type of icing for both cakes and cupcakes that is usually made up mainly of icing sugar. However, we have the possibility of making it with cream cheese and thus achieve a less sweet coating. Don’t miss this recipe from RecetasGratis.net and learn how to make cream cheese icing.

The first thing you have to do to make the glaze is to mix the cream cheese with the margarine until you get a smooth and homogeneous mixture.
Then the icing sugar is added and stirred again, slowly at first and more vigorously afterwards. If you want to make your own icing sugar, don’t miss this recipe.
Finally, add the vanilla extract and mix again until the characteristic texture of the glaze is obtained.
Finally, place the cream cheese glaze on the cake, spreading it well with the help of a spatula. It is also ideal for decorating cupcakes with the help of a piping bag.

Another Cream Cheese Frosting Recipe
There are many recipes that are simply basic, and that incorporate this preparation. This is the case with this icing, which I have tried on a delicious carrot cake, the red velvet cupcakes, the walnut bread, and so many other delicious things. It goes well with them because its flavor is discreet, which helps us to perceive all the flavors of that delicious dessert we are eating.
It’s a recipe you have to know if what calls you most in the kitchen is baking, or if from time to time you like to prepare desserts for your friends, uncles, nephews and boyfriends.
Preparation time | 25 minutes
Difficulty | Easy
People | 4
2 sticks of unsalted butter (226 grams), at room temperature
355ml cream cheese, at room temperature
4 cups icing sugar, sifted
3/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
How to Make Cream Cheese Glaze
Beat butter and cream cheese with a mixer on medium-high speed until fluffy, about 2-3 minutes. Reduce speed to low. Add sugar, 1 cup at a time, then vanilla and blend until smooth.
You can refrigerate this glaze for up to three days, so it’s one of those dessert steps you can skip.
How to glaze cupcakes
Here’s another kind of pastry that no one’s ever told you about. The first time I tried frosting the cupcakes was a real problem. Especially since it wasn’t as smooth as cream cheese frosting, it was one of those slightly harder frostings sold in bakery stores (although I’ll clarify, it wasn’t fondant). It stayed on the stick and damaged the surface of the cupcake.
When this happens to you, what you have to do is wet the stick. That way, the frosting won’t stick to the stick.
May your desserts be divine and delicious!
Hot Chocolate Cake Rolls
This chocolate cake is served warm. It’s not very sweet and it goes perfectly with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. I found it works even better as cake rolls instead of a regular cake, so just get a cake roll pan and give it a try!
1 cup wheat flour 3/4 cup refined sugar 6 tablespoons natural cocoa powder 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup of milk 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract 1 cup of icing sugar 1 3/4 cups of hot water
How to do it
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
2. Place the flour, refined sugar, 2 tablespoons of cocoa, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl. Add milk, oil and vanilla and stir well. Pour into an ungreased 23×23 centimeter baking dish.
3. In a separate bowl, mix the mashed sugar with 4 tablespoons of cocoa; sprinkle over the dough in the cake rolls pan. Pour hot water over it. Do not stir.
4. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Serve warm.
